HIDDEN TRUTH OF MUGHAL - E- AZAM

Lesser Known fact of history which is under the darkness since its origin for decades and it has to be surfaced in light of this information & technology era. The legendary film company The Bombay Talkies Studios under the leadership of pillar of Indian Cinema, the great presenter - financier Rajnarayan Dube conceived and announced the all-time great epic Mughal - E- Azam on 10th October 1947. In that Mughal - E- Azam, the legendary filmmaker K. Asif himself was the director and the first ever mega movie was to be produced by Devika Rani & Abhimanyu Singh for Bombay Talkies production. Rajnarayan Dube’s Mughal - E- Azam had Veena, Nargis, Chandra Mohan & others in key roles and the soulful music was created by the first woman music director of Indian Cinema Saraswati Devi. It’s also noteworthy that oldest finance company, Dube Industries was the backbone of the epic film Mughal - E- Azam as the world rights controller.

Rajnarayan Dube appointed Shiraz Ali Hakim as a production head for his mega venture. After the shoot of 12 reels, due to illness & untimely death of the lead actor Chandra Mohan who played the role of Akbar, and also some other inevitable circumstances, the dream project of Rajnarayan Dube, Devika Rani & K. Asif got stuck into the shadow of history.

After the unfortunate shutdown of Bombay Talkies in 1954 K. Asif completed his dream with Shapoorji Pallonji as a financier along with new cast and crew i.e Prithviraj Kapoor, Dilip Kumar, Madhubala and many more. Rest is engraved with golden letters on the pages of history.
